What exactly is the Prosper Group?
The Prosper Group is one of the nation’s premier business reclamation firms specializing in "at-risk" companies generating between $2M and $15M in annual revenue. We step in when a business reaches a critical breaking point: where growth has created operational chaos, profit distributions have stalled, and the owner is overworked, underpaid, and trapped in the daily grind.
Unlike Private Equity, we take zero ownership in your company. You retain 100% ownership and control. And unlike traditional consultants who merely offer advice, we move into the trenches with you. For a fixed three-year term, we assume the financial risk of deploying our own specialized experts to:
- Restore Scalable Growth: Transition from stagnant or chaotic revenue to healthy, predictable expansion.
- Correct Compensation: Ensure owner compensation is brought in line with, or exceeds, industry standards.
- Establish Audited Profitability: Implement systems that guarantee transparent, repeatable profit distributions (in excess of owner compensation).
- Remove Owner Dependency: Decouple the business from your daily involvement, shifting you from "operator" to "authority."
- Command the Market: Position your company as the dominant leader in your industry.
Our model is built on total alignment: we only earn when you do. During our three-year engagement, we share in 40% of the profit, while the owner retains 60%. At the end of the 36-month optimization period, we "hand back the keys." You walk away with a streamlined, high-value organization, 100% of the ongoing profits, and the freedom to take your company the distance on your own terms.
How is this different from hiring a consultant?
The difference is both how we are aligned and how we are involved. Consultants charge you for their time to provide a "roadmap" they aren’t responsible for driving. They are a guaranteed expense regardless of your outcome.
We are a performance partner. We don’t just advise you on what to do; we deploy the specialized talent required to get it done and we foot the bill.
- We Absorb the Cost of Expertise: When your business needs a high-level financial expert, HR strategist or efficiency expert, we hire and pay them. You don't take on the overhead or the hiring risk; we invest our own capital into our network of experts needed to heal your company.
- We are Operators, Not Advisors: We don't sit on the sidelines. We work alongside you to make decisions and hold accountability. We are in the trenches, executing the strategy we propose.
- Result-Based Compensation: A consultant gets paid for their hours; we only get paid from the profit we help create. If we don’t move the needle, we lose our investment.

Why a three-year commitment?
Because real transformation doesn't happen in a quarter. Most business problems took years to develop — they won't be solved in 90 days. A three-year partnership gives us the time to fix the primary constraint, let the business stabilize, identify the next constraint, and repeat the process until the company is genuinely strong. Short engagements produce short results. We're not interested in short results.
What does 'no consulting fees, no equity' actually mean?
It means we don't bill you hourly. We don't take a piece of your company. Instead, we participate in the profit we help you create. A $10,000 commitment retainer secures the engagement — this is credited against future profit participation, not a fee you lose. If your company doesn't improve, we don't get paid. Our incentives are perfectly aligned with yours.
